The 38th Ephorate of Prehistoric and Classical Antiquities celebrated the Full Moon of August in collaboration with the Military Museum of Kalamata and the Museum of History and Folk Art. An afternoon event for children and adults took place in the garden of the Benakeion Megaron involving story-telling by Theodosia Pseftea The band of ‘Moraites’. took on afterwards playing Greek folk music in the pedestrian area between the Archaeological Museum of Messenia and the Benakeion.
During the events (8:00-11:00 pm) the Archaeological Museum of Messenia remained open with free entrance.
In our celebrations participated more than 600 people! The 38th Ephorate of Prehistoric and Classical Antiquities would like to express special thanks to all our fiends for embracing the events and for giving life to the Museum and to the historical center of Kalamata!
